Japan for the first time

This tour takes you on a journey to visit the most popular sightseeing spots in Japan in 10 days. You can use it as a way to start your long stay in Japan!

It starts off with Tokyo, a city where tradition and technology intertwines. Visit the famous scramble crossings and neon city of Shibuya, and enjoy bar hopping in yokocho alleys of Shinjuku at night.  From Tokyo head on a day trip to Lake Kawaguchi to witness the famous Mt. Fuji upclose.

Then, head north to the popular city Kanazawa on a 2.5 hour Shinkansen (bullet train) ride, to experience traditional culture and to enjoy local markets.

Next stop is the World Heritage Site Shirakawa-go, where you are able to learn and feel the traditional lifestyles of local people, and head to Takayama to enjoy the local atmosphere of the shotengai (a local shopping street).

Then comes Kyoto, where you will visit the famous Fushimi Inari Shrine with the vermilion torii gates, Arashiyama’s bamboo forest, and other temples and shrines the city is home to. You will also visit Nara on a day trip, to witness for yourself the Great Buddha of Nara, and to see the wild sacred deer roaming freely in Nara Park (they may approach you for “shika senbei”, which are special crackers just for deers!).

In Hiroshima, visit the Peace Memorial Park to pray for peace, and then visit Miyajima, where its giant torii gate floats on the water during high tide.

The tour ends with returning to Tokyo, and departing on your flight back home.
