Kimono is Japan’s traditional clothing, and was worn as daily wear back in the day. As Western style clothing was introduced, more and more people started to wear Western clothing instead, but kimonos are still regarded as formal wear and is worn on special occasions like weddings and seijinshiki, the celebration for adulthood, and is worn in places that place importance on tradition, like tea ceremonies and maiko/geishas. Why not take the chance to wear a kimono of your choice, and walk along the streets like the old days?

After you’ve selected the kimono (or yukata, a kimono made of light fabric specifically worn during the summer) of your choice, professional staff will help you dress, do a simple hair set, and then you will select your bag and shoes to go with your kimono. After you have your full dress up, you are free to stroll the streets nearby, or have a photo session (additional costs apply) to commemorate your experience! Please note makeup is not included.
